Kam joined the Cub Scouts in Ponchatoula. He is officially a "Tiger Cub" and loves it! He gets to wear his Pack Clothes to school and could not be more excited about that!! We had our first event since joining last week. We had a Conservation Day Picnic at Tickfaw State Park on Saturday, we had to be there for 7:45 in the morning, yes kinda early! We did make it on time, actually we were the first ones there. Then we went on a 3.5 mile walk through the woods, on a very primitive trail. The conservationist gave everybody a good long talk about snakes, spiders, POISON IVY (She even should it to us at least 20 times), and other wildlife. Let me tell you, it was a good thing for the speech, because we saw everything she was talking about. Our job was to pick up trash throughout the park. It took us 3 hours to do the walk, and I luckily had a dad helping me with the stroller when it was time to go over down trees and under trees and through creeks and over 4*4 bridges, yes it was a very primitive trail for at least 3 miles, the other .5 of the trail was a very nice wooden walkway. Just for the record, I only almost dumped Lucy out the buggy once, I thought I did a wonderful job getting through. After the walk the boys had picked up about 100 lbs of trash, we had a picnic, and then the boys got to play in the water park area of Tickfaw State Park. Kam had a blast, Gab had a blast, and yes, Lucy did too! Craig came met us after he got off of work around 2pm. Craig and Lucy played in the water park too! Kam made lots of friends, and earned himself his first BADGE! GO KAM!!!!
